Labor-Only Loading & Unloading: pricing and minimums
$80/hour per worker, with a 2-hour minimum and a one-time $50 travel fee per worker. Two workers for two hours total $420, before separately agreed materials or other services.
Helper count, inventory, truck size, stairs, carry distance, and readiness influence time. Two helpers for the minimum period total $420 including travel. Rental charges and transportation are your separate arrangements.
Keep the transportation and labor plans in sync
A late rental truck or unavailable container can disrupt a loading appointment. Confirm your provider's timing and tell us whether you need loading, unloading, or both. You arrange the transport; CLE does not drive as part of labor-only service. Discuss the agreed scope, equipment, and applicable coverage before work, including any third-party transit responsibilities.
Before your appointment
- Confirm the truck or container will be present and accessible for the agreed work window.
- Share the vehicle size, ramp or loading access, inventory, and both locations if help is needed at each.
- Discuss pads, straps, dollies, and other equipment needs before arrival rather than assuming what is supplied.
- Pack and label ready-to-load boxes, and identify fragile or specialty items in advance.

CLE is based at 6871 Ames Rd, Parma, OH 44129. Discuss applicable insurance coverage, limits, and exclusions before agreeing to the work. Same-day availability may be possible—call to confirm.
Labor-Only Loading & Unloading: common questions
Does labor-only service include a truck?
No. You provide the rental truck or container and arrange its transportation.
Will the helpers drive my rental truck?
Driving is not included in labor-only service. Choose a full-service moving package if you need CLE transport.
Can I hire help only for unloading?
Yes. Explain the load, destination access, and arrival timing so the unloading work can be reviewed.
How much do helpers cost?
Helpers are $80/hour each, with a two-hour minimum and $50 travel per helper. Two helpers for two hours total $420.
How many helpers should I request?
Share the inventory, heavy pieces, truck size, and access. We review a suitable crew rather than choose only by the number of rooms.
Do I need to arrange moving equipment?
Discuss equipment and protective-material needs in advance so responsibilities are clear. Do not assume a rental includes everything needed.
What if the truck arrives late?
Contact us promptly if your rental or container timing changes so we can review the labor appointment and availability.
Can helpers load a piano or safe?
Specialty items need separate review and specialty pricing. Do not assume the ordinary helper rate covers every heavy item.
