Apartment Moving: pricing and minimums
Two movers and a truck: $190/hour. Three movers and a truck: $260/hour. Four movers and a truck: $340/hour. All hourly services have a 2-hour minimum, plus a one-time $50 travel fee per mover.
Two movers for the two-hour minimum plus travel total $480. Actual time depends on inventory, flights of stairs, elevator waits, parking, and readiness—not only apartment size.
Coordinate both buildings before choosing a move window
A reserved elevator at the destination is little help if the pickup building limits loading to a different time. Review both buildings' requirements together. A studio with several flights of stairs may require more handling than a larger apartment with direct access. Building notices, certificates of insurance, and elevator bookings should be discussed early rather than left until arrival.

- Ask both properties about elevator reservations, loading spaces, and permitted moving hours.
- Share the floor number, stair count, elevator size, and distance from the entrance to parking.
- Measure bulky furniture and door openings; send photos of tight turns when you contact us.
- Confirm key collection and lease handover times, and keep essential items accessible.

Do you move apartments without elevators?
Yes, walk-up moves can be reviewed. Share the flights of stairs, landings, furniture dimensions, and any unusual items so we can confirm the plan.
Who reserves the elevator?
Coordinate reservations with your property manager and share the confirmed window with us. Building access needs to match the moving plan.
Can you work within my building's moving hours?
Tell us the allowed hours at both buildings. We review availability and scope before agreeing to a schedule.
Does a studio automatically cost the minimum?
No. The minimum is not a studio flat rate. Access, packing, inventory, and travel between addresses determine the work involved.
What if my sofa may not fit?
Send measurements and access photos before the move. We review the route and disassembly options; do not assume every item can pass through every opening.
Should I mention a building insurance requirement?
Yes. Send the property manager's requirements in advance so the necessary documentation can be reviewed before moving day.
Can you remove furniture I am leaving behind?
Optional junk removal is available and separately priced. Identify those items before loading begins.
Does booking an estimate reserve my move-in date?
No. The estimate appointment reviews the job. The paid moving date and scope are confirmed separately.
