What Packing Service Includes
Packing is the part of a move that takes the most time, breaks the most things, and creates the most stress. A 2-bedroom home typically holds 50–80 boxes worth of stuff once it's all wrapped and packed — that's the difference between a smooth move-in and weeks of living out of cardboard.
CLE Junk Removal & Movers offers professional packing and unpacking services in Parma (ZIPs 44129, 44130, 44134) and Greater Cleveland — available as a standalone service or bundled with our moving service.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does packing service cost in Parma?
Packing is billed at our Labor Only hourly rate: $70/hr for 1 packer, $140/hr for 2 packers, $210/hr for 3 packers, plus a $50-per-packer travel fee. A studio full pack runs $190–$330 labor. A 1-bedroom runs $660–$940 labor. A 2-bedroom home runs $940–$1,220 labor. A 3-bedroom home runs $1,220–$1,780 labor. Materials (boxes, tape, paper, bubble wrap) are additional if you want us to supply them.
Can you pack without also doing the move?
Yes. Packing is available standalone — we'll pack your home and you can handle the move with a rental truck, a different company, or any other arrangement. About a third of our packing jobs are standalone (no move attached).
Do I have to use your boxes and packing materials?
No. You're welcome to supply your own boxes, paper, tape, and bubble wrap if you prefer — we'll use what you provide and skip the materials charge. If you want our materials, we provide standard boxes (small/medium/large), wardrobe boxes, dish pack boxes, mirror and picture boxes, TV boxes, mattress bags, paper, bubble wrap, and tape, all at additional cost based on what's used.
Can you pack specialty or fragile items — china, art, electronics, wine?
Yes. We routinely pack fine china and crystal, original art and framed pieces, antiques and heirloom furniture, electronics (TVs, computers, audio equipment), and wine collections. Each category has specific handling protocols — china in dish pack boxes with paper between each piece, art wrapped and corner-protected, electronics in original packaging when available or our TV boxes.
How long does packing a typical home take in Parma?
Rough timing: a studio takes 2–4 hours with 1 packer. A 1-bedroom takes 4–6 hours with 2 packers. A 2-bedroom home takes 6–8 hours with 2 packers (often a full day). A 3-bedroom home takes 8–12 hours with 2 packers, sometimes split across 2 days. Larger homes scale from there.
Do you offer unpacking service at the destination?
Yes. We unpack boxes at your new location, place items per your direction, and haul away the empty boxes and packing materials. Unpacking typically takes 50–70% of the time the pack took, since organizing is faster than wrapping. You can book full unpack (everything) or selective unpack (kitchen and key rooms only).
Should I be home during the pack?
You can be — many customers prefer to be on-site to answer questions about what to pack vs. what to leave behind. Or you can leave a list and step out; we'll work from the instructions. Either way works fine.
Can you pack on short notice?
Same-day or next-day packing may be available when the current schedule and scope allow. Call (216) 673-0678 with the home size, rooms to pack, materials needed, and target move date so we can confirm the earliest appointment.
